Ejby Kirke - Køge
Ejby Church is an old medieval church, its Romanesque nave from c. 1150–1200 was extended to the east in the Gothic period, and in the late Gothic period (c. 1500) three extensions were added, i.e. tower, vestry and porch.

Gørslev church - Køge
Gørslev Church is a late Romanesque church built in large medieval bricks, probably in the 13th century.

Højelse Kirke - Køge
Højelse Church stands elevated above the surrounding landscape, and with its beautiful yellow colour it is visible from far away.

Køge Church - Sct. Nicolai
The oldest preserved part of the church is the tower, which dates back to 1324. The beautiful altarpiece from 1652 is a work by Lorenz Jørgensen. The impressive pulpit was created by wood carver Hans Holst in 1624.

Nørre Dalby Kirke by Køge
The church is a medieval church from 1150 – 1200 and appears beautifully yellow-plastered with white decorations.

Sædder Kirke near Køge

After the huge population growth in the Ølby area in Højelse Parish in the 1950s, and considering the distance to Højelse Church, the thought arose, about 1980, to build a church in the Ølby Lyng area.
